Here’s a review of Neal Stephenson’s Quicksilver on Slashdot. Alex and I both bought copies on the 23rd, the day it was available in the store. We’ve both been anticipating the publication of this book for months. NS’s Cryptonomicon was perhaps the most fun I’ve ever had reading a novel, and the prospect of a new book has had father and son both salivating. Only about 200 pages into it so far – alas, I wish I could cancel all other activities and hunker down for a couple weeks with this hefty tome, but you know how it is. So far, the book has plenty to recommend it. Details at 11…
